Apple iPhone 6 Plus vs. Samsung Galaxy A7: Comparison In Specs and Features

Both Apple's iPhone 6 Plus and Samsung's Galaxy A7 smartphones have been out in the market for quite some time. Here are the comparisons between the two phones in terms of specs and features.

Physically, there is a difference between the A7 and 6 Plus with regards to thickness or rather the thinness of Samsung's smartphone. The A7 is only about 6 mm thick while the 6 Plus is a slightly thicker at 7 mm.

Both the iPhone 6 Plus and Galaxy A7 has the same display screen of 5.5 inches. Resolution and pixel density is also the same at 1008 x 1920 p and 401 ppi.

Apple however, uses IPS LCD "Retina" display technology while the Galaxy A7 has the Super AMOLED display. In theory, the A7 has the better camera with 13 MP in its rear camera and 5 MP in its front, in contrast to the iPhone's 8 MP rear and 1.2 MP front cameras. 

The 6 Plus camera, however, has image stabilization while the A7 has none.

The A7 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 64 bit, ARM quad core that runs on 1,500 MHz. As usual, the 6 Plus is powered by the Apple 8 64 bit dual core chip that runs on 1,400 MHz. Apple's phone has 1 GB of RAM while Samsung's has double that amount of RAM.

Built-in storage on the A7 is only 16 GB but it has an SD slot that can store an additional 64 GB worth of data. The 6 Plus has an impressive built in storage of 128 GB but no SD slot.

The iPhone 6 Plus has a bigger battery capacity at 2,915 mAh compared to the A7, which only has 2,600 mAh. The operating system of the 6 Plus is iOS 8 while Samsung A7 runs on Android 4.4.4.Kitkat.
