For the first time ever, consumers now have a whopping 200 GB mobile storage capacity, thanks to SanDisk.

SanDisk Corporation, a multinational company that specializes in delivering flash memory storage solutions and software, today unveiled its 200 GB Ultra Premium Edition microSDXC card at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

The company went right to the top again in manufacturing the highest capacity microSD card available for use in mobile devices. By utilizing the same propriety technology to create a 128 GB MicroSD last year, SanDisk increased the size of their latest creation by 56 percent.

Mobile devices are changing the game as seven out of 10 photos captured by consumers are now from smartphones and tablets, said Christopher Chute, Research Vice President of Global SMB Cloud and Mobility at the International Data Corporation. Consumers are now treating their mobile devices as their primary means for image capture and sharing.

To keep up with the demands of today's mobile users, SanDisk is now delivering solutions clearly illustrated with their growing portfolio of innovative products, such as the 200 GB microSD card.

The new card offers freedom to capture, save and share pictures, videos and other files without the hassle of worrying about storage limitations.

Interestingly, the increase in space won't slow down the card one bit. The card's transfer speed of 90 MB/s can move up to 1,200 photos per minute to deliver premium performance.

Each card is also waterproof, magnet proof, temperature proof and X-ray proof, which means stored files can likely survive just about anything.

Ideal for Android smartphone and tablet users, the 200 GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-1 card in premium edition also features a 10-year warranty. 

It will be available worldwide starting April this year at an MSRP of $399.99.
