Super Fan Gamer Creates Tetris Shirt

The Tetris T-shirt

The well-loved classic game, Tetris, has ventured into clothing.

A gamer from Luxembourg, Marc Kerger, has developed a T-shirt version of the game. Kerger's Tetris tee is wearable -- and playable. Yes, you can actually play Tetris on the tee.

Kerger's DIY project first appeared on YouTube and has gained loyal fans for the game.

Kerger used 128 LED lights and different hardware to assemble the underlying technology. He then made a design that displays the game and house the hardware. The tee runs on a four AA batteries.

The front of the tee features a playing field while you can check the rules of the game at the back. The rules were made for first-timers that don't have an idea how to play Tetris.

Gamers can move and flip the "Tetrominoes," or a geometric shape composed of four squares. They can also increase the game speed using buttons on the shirt.

Gamers, however, might have a hard time playing Tetris because the view of the game is from a top-down angle.

When a gamer loses, the tee will scroll the score across the tummy area.

Over the years, Tetris has appeared in quite number of weird places. There are some gamers who played Tetris on the side of a 29-story building in the Philadelphia. Kevin Bates, a technical designer, created a business card with a playable version of Tetris.

Bad news is that because of the DIY nature of the shirt, interested gamers can't own the tee just yet.

Kerger is still exploring the feasibility of marketing his Tetris tee.
