The TalkBand B2 shares some similarities with its predecessor, the TalkBand B1, but the B2 comes with a PMOLED touch screen and is furnished with a metal dock.

The B2 can either be paired and synced with an Android or an iPhone smartphone. The Android device must have 4.0 version or above while the iOS must be a 7 or higher.

The TalkBand B2 also checks the movement and sleep pattern of its wearer. This wristband is also a Bluetooth earpiece.

The device allows its wearer to make and take calls without using his hands. A Bluetooth earpiece is not a new concept, however.

In case you lose track of your smartphone, the Bluetooth earpiece can locate it if it's nearby through ringtones or vibrations.

According to Huawei, the B2 battery can last for 12 days in standby mode. But actual usage of the B2 wristband usually means the battery only lasts five days. If you call continuously using the B2 wristband, you'll drain the battery in just six hours.

Huawei plans to sell the TalkBand B2 wristband to the general public at the end of April.

At least 28 countries, including China, will be the first overseas markets for this newly unveiled wristband.

The TalkBand B2 will come in several options. A cheaper version of the B2 wristband only has a plastic strap and less aluminum content.  The cheaper B2 version will set you back at least US$169.  The premium version is fitted with leather straps.

A critic pointed out the wristband's screen is too small for him to read a message, especially if the screen is in direct sunlight.
