Workers at a laundry services company based in Henderson, Nevada were shocked to find two fetuses among the dirty linen that were about to be sent to the washing machine.
Staff at the Angelica Corporation, a firm that provides laundry services to area hospitals, discovered the twin 16-week-old fetuses.

"We thought those were stuff toys from one of the child patients but were shocked to see they were fetuses," said one laundry staff.
The Henderson Police Department, which was alerted about the discovery, immediately conducted an investigation and traced the laundry shipment back to the Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas.
Spring Valley Hospital spokeswoman Gretchen Papez explained that the fetuses were brought to the hospital already wrapped in linen.
The spokeswoman said the mother of the twin fetuses suffered a miscarriage at another location and decided to bring the fetuses to the hospital.
Hospital officials said they will conduct international investigation to determine why the two fetuses ended up in the laundry.
"We are currently reviewing the situation to determine what occurred. However, the remains are currently in the hospital's possession, and we are working with the family at this time," the hospital statement added.
Henderson Police Department spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said foul play is not suspected, but officers are working to determine how the fetuses were mixed in with the laundry.
The hospital is owned by a subsidiary of the Pennsylvania-based Universal Health Services Inc, according to its website.
When it opened in October 2003, Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center was the first acute care hospital in southwest Las Vegas. Since then, the hospital has grown by continuously adding medical services to better meet the needs of the surrounding community.
