There is no doubt how talented Rita Ora is, but that does not mean she did not have her fair share of difficulties getting to where she is now.
The singer, who was recently featured in the movie, 50 Shades of Grey, revealed to British InStyle that she's been rejected over and over, but instead of getting hurt or allowing them to put her down, she uses those failures to encourage her to work harder.

"I've been told 'no' so many times in my career," the actress told the magazine. But continued and said that being told "no" does not mean it's done and over. She shared that every "no" she has received has helped build her and her confidence up.
Thanks to that, she wasn't shy about reaching out to Sam Taylor-Johnson, the director of 50 Shades of Grey to talk to her about options for the movie's soundtrack. However, their conversation led to the director encouraging Rita to audition for the film as an actress instead. Rita, who shared has merely "done a bit of acting" tried out for the role but didn't think that she'd book it.
Rita explained that she told Sam that she'd love to be involved with the movie as she was an extremely big fan of the series, when Sam asked her, "Why don't you audition?" to which she replied, "I've got a few song ideas, I could send them over." However, Sam clarified her question and asked her again, "No, why don't you audition for the movie?"
While there is clearly a misunderstanding, it's great that it still worked in Rita's favor as it resulted with her bagging the role she called, "blink and you'll miss it role."
Regarding the audition, she said, "I thought, what have I got to lose?" And shared that she auditioned just like everyone else and got no special treatment. She worked on her American accent and the next thing she knew, she got the role.
24-year old Rita endlessly promoted her role, but when the film premiered, a lot of viewers noticed that she only had four lines, which simply lasted for a few seconds. It helped that she was frank about how little screen time she had, but it did not prevent people from making fun of her on various social media platforms, especially on Twitter.
Kyle Buchanan tweeted, "Rita Ora has spent the last year promoting her role in 50 SHADES OF GREY. Thrillingly, she has a literal second and a half of screen time."
