Wu violently coughed up blood and then suddenly dropped dead on his seat, reports The Telegraph.
While coughing up blood and looking very sick, Wu kept on playing World of Warcraft and caught the attention of another internet café player seated beside him. Hsin Lo, upon hearing Wu groan and seeing him wiping his mouth with a handkerchief red with blood, called an ambulance
But by the time it arrived, Wu was already dead. The paramedics' efforts to revive Wu proved futile.
A police spokesman said, "An autopsy will determine the cause of death but there seems little doubt his playing on the computer for 19 hours instead of resting contributed to his death."
Inquistr reports the spokesman said Wu likely developed deep vein thrombosis that reached his lungs and became a pulmonary embolism. Deep vein thrombosis occurs when a blood clot or thrombus form in one or more of the deep veins in the body, usually in the legs. It causes leg to swell and be painful, according to medical experts.
The experts said it usually affects people with chronic conditions that affect how their blood clots or for gamers who don't move for a long time, similar to what happened to Wu.
Experts warned computer game addicts that deep vein thrombosis is a serious condition since blood that clots in the veins could break loose, travel through the bloodstream, enter the lungs and block blood flow.
