New Delays to iPad Pro Push Launch Date to September

Apple is now looking at a later launch for the iPad Pro.
Apple is reportedly on the cusp of releasing the iPad Pro at the upcoming event on March 9, but delays to the larger 12.9-inch iPad's components forced Cupertino to hold off the launch for another few months.
Display panels are the real issue. This plus questions on how much power should be added to the larger iPad.

Some Apple executives believe a USB 3.0 port and potential ports for mouse and keyboard would go a long way to interesting business customers but others believe this isn't the right fit for the iPad.
The issue with the iPad Pro is a 12.9-inch display is at the largest end of the MacBook Air, and if Apple add another $100 to the price it will be almost the same price as a low-end 11-inch MacBook Air.
Why would any businessman want a 12.9-inch iPad Pro incapable of offering the same productivity levels of a MacBook Air at the same price? That is what Apple is trying to figure out.
Offering a mouse and keyboard attachment to the iPad Pro might entice some users but it goes against Apple's idea of making the iPad different from the MacBook.
It would go head-to-head with Microsoft's own Surface Pro 3 that offers a detachable keyboard and trackpad. The Surface Pro 3 gained significantly more sales in 2014, going from 300,000 to 900,000 sales.
Apple is also planning to add a 12-inch MacBook Air sometime this year but apparently this has also been delayed due to display problems. Considering Apple is already constrained with the massive supply needs of the iPhone, it had to contract new manufacturers in Taiwan and China.
