Susan Sarandon has decided to end things between her and Jonathan Bricklin after spending five good years together.

The 68-year old actress has just recently revealed that he and Jonathan, an entrepreneur, have decided to go their separate ways because the "Thelma and Louise" star struggled with getting their personal lives followed and filmed for AOL's new reality show "Connected", which record their lives and their respective partners over the span of six months.

An insider revealed to The New York Post's Page Six, that the show was causing serious strain in the couple's relationship. The insider added that "It's documented for the show that Susan breaks up with him because she doesn't want to be involved with the show." Susan will reportedly be seen saying, "You're a cast member, I'm not."

But the couple might not be completely closing their doors to each other, as the insider also said they are currently working on their relationship. Susan, who met Jonathan while vacationing in Chile, previously acknowledged that their relationship wasn't ordinary and despite being 31-years his senior, she insisted that the wide age gap between them didn't bother her.

The award-winning actress revealed that they didn't live in the same house and shared that she's interested in a person's soul. "When you are in love, the question of age, sex, color, no longer hold any importance," she said.

The star of the comedy film "Ping Pong Summer" to be released on demand on June 6, has always been vocal about the difficulties she experienced trying to move on from her partner of 23 years actor Tim Robbins. They split in 2009.

Speaking up about their split, she said that it was both an exciting and terrifying experience "because there are certain comforts you take for granted in long-term relationships," and added that she'd be lying if she said that "it was an easy transition."

Susan was recently spotted in Hamburg at the Goldene Kamera awards without Jonathan by her side. She was in attendance as she was given the honor to receive the Mid-Life Achievement award.
