"For the Emperor" star Lee Tae Im, who just recently made headlines for verbally attacking Kim Yewon has issued a formal statement apologizing to the singer.
In a statement Onion Management Group (Lee Tae Im's agency) released, Lee Tae In expressed her desire to apologize, before proceeding to explain what had happened. She said that after shooting a scene underwater with Lee Jae Hoon on Jeju Island, she got cold and came out of the water.

She admitted that it was Yewon who came up to her and talked to her after she was able to warm up and because it was the first time that they met, she said that she didn't take what Yewon said kindly and misunderstood her. She then continued to make an apology to Yewon and said that she regrets that she was not able to properly control her emotions at the time and saying things that she should not have.
To conclude her statement, she said sorry to all of the staff and the rest of the cast of "Tutoring Across Generations," before announcing that she will be withdrawing from the show.
Lee Tae Im's public apology comes after news about her yelling at Yewon for no apparent reason surfaced. According to the reports, when Lee Tae Im came out of the water, Yewon simply asked the 28-year old actress if she's cold and if she's okay, to which she received random series of curses.
Some tabloids and sources claim that what ticked off Lee Tae Im was the fact that Yewon talked to her without respect-meaning Yewon didn't use honorofics and didn't address her the way younger individuals should address older individuals. Lee Tae Im allegedly yelled, "Why are you talking to me informally?" And followed it up with a series of expletives. However, Yewon's agency clarified the rumors and said that while Lee Tae Im did curse, it wasn't as bad as gossip sites have reported.
