Samsung is planning to open a new Android app store.
The Korean-based electronics company has rebranded its Samsung Apps store as "Galaxy Apps" in a stronger bid to challenge Google's dominant Play Store.
Galaxy Apps offers customization of users' options, discounts and related promotions not available at Google Play Store.

Samsung's new app store is divided into three key sections: Best Picks, Top and For Galaxy, Best and Top popular and recommended applications.
Users can now filter the apps based on date, popularity, and price.
Top and For Galaxy section has an inclusion for premium and business-related apps which are designed for Galaxy devices and apps made from Samsung's software development kits.
This is not Samsung's first attempt to create its own app deals that challenge Google Play Store. Galaxy S5 has a US$500 premium app subscription and offers the same deal with previous phones and tablets.
Google and Samsung have been rivals when it comes to creating and distributing various apps.
Currently, Samsung is leading against its competitors and has 39.5 percent share globally on the Android market, according to IDC, a research company.
Samsung's Galaxy Apps will be rolling out any time now and eventually will be available to Android users around the globe.
