The Voice panelist Blake Shelton and his wife, Country singer Miranda Lambert have been a favorite topic of tabloids because of divorce rumors.

Though Shelton lambasted the media with the false separation rumors last year, it seems that National Enquirer, a tabloid, is still publishing the same divorce speculations with no reliable source and is considered as fiction, according to Gossip Cop.

"Blake Shelton's drunken antics have wife Miranda Lambert ready to dump her partying hubby in a US$40 million divorce drama," according to National Enquirer in a recent report.

In the magazine it was stated that Lambert also allegedly threw Shelton a marriage ultimatum, since she has "had it" with her husband's behavior. Tension rose in the Grammy Awards when Lambert didn't mention her husband's name in her acceptance speech and things only got worse in the after party.

"Blake was doing his usual act, drinking himself into oblivion, chatting up almost any pretty girl who passed his way, and Miranda was left stewing," says a friend of the couple, further emphasizing that the couple's divorce bombshell might soon explode.

However, the website Gossip Cop pointed out that the recently published news in the National Enquirer is inconsistent.

In October 2013, the National Enquirer ran a story that Lambert and Shelton were heading for a US$40 million divorce.

In December 2013, it was published again that the country music couple's divorce can cost up to a US$100 million.

Last year, Shelton allegedly expressed interest to write a book about his drunken tweets and flirtations with model Alena Shishkova.

Gossip Cop clarified that none of these divorce rumors were even confirmed by reliable sources and these stories were just simply 'made up'.

Though the magazine is known for publishing preposterous news about celebrities especially the country couple, a source close to the couple explained that these stories are fiction.
