Google Launches Car Insurance Comparison Tool

Google has announced a new comparison tool for people looking for car insurance. Named Google Compare, it looks to offer insurance quotes from 14 partners, with more coming on board in the next few months.
It's similar to most comparison sites. Users input a wide variety of information, in this case information on the car, accidents, employment and age, and get quotes from the main providers.

Google believes this comparison tool could save customers thousands of dollars in insurance bills, especially if a user doesn't know about deals from local or national providers.
Mercury Insurance, MetLife, The General Insurance, 21st Century Insurance, Infinity Auto Insurance, Kemper Specialty, Titan Insurance, Stillwater Insurance and CSE Insurance Group are the nine major national auto insurance partners.
Google said you can highlight what makes your business unique, whether that's an "A" rating in customer service or better discounts for safe drivers. And when users adjust their deductible or add additional cars to their quote, you can show updated pricing that matches their needs. They can then buy their policy online or over the phone through one of your agents.
Google Compare will only be available in California to start, but should come to other U.S. states within the next few months.
