Students from Wuhan Railway Polytechnic, Jianghan University, Wuhan Engineering University, etc, all complain that they couldn't bear current temperature, and fans in their dormitories just play a minor role, they have no choice except sleeping outdoors.
Such heat also hit Guangzhou City (in southern China), for not every university has prepared air conditioners for students, these students have racked their brains to fight against this sultry weather. They couldn't help shouting out words like "Too hot to sleep!" What's worse, many building roofs of these universities are even not open to students.
Students who live in the highest floors of these dormitory buildings are more sensitive to such weather. Someone told journalists that their beds were around one meter from the dormitory ceilings, sometimes, the ceilings were still in a hot condition even it was ten o'clock in the evening, we students were just like steamed stuffed buns( a traditional Chinese food), and our dormitories were steamers.
Many university didn't install air conditioner for students mainly because of a lack of money. Besides, a lot campuses were built long long ago, the electric circuits inside couldn't meet current needs, and undoubtedly coudn't bear the voltages of an air conditioner.
