For gamers who haven't made the jump to next-generation consoles yet, now may be the time to crossover. Online retailer Amazon is offering one of the best deals on an Xbox One since its launch in late 2013.
As of now, Amazon is offering an Xbox One bundle that combines the 500gb console and wireless controller with Assassin's Creed: Unity, Assassins Creed: Black Flag, NBA 2K15, and a three-month subscription of Xbox Live for only US$349.99, including free shipping.

To put the deal into perspective, Microsoft is selling an Xbox One with just one controller for US$349 on its official Xbox website. With Assassins Creed: Unity and NBA 2K15 priced US$60 each brand new, Assassins Creed: Black Flag priced US$35 new, plus a US$25 Xbox Live subscription, you're essentially saving US$180 when you purchase the bundle from Amazon.
Similar deals for the PlayStation 4 are hard to come by, as the console is still priced at US$400 in major retail stores. But GameStop is currently offering a PS4 deal that some gamers might be interested in.
For US$410, consumers would be able to pickup a brand new 500gb PS4 that includes hard copies of Destiny and a remastered The Last of Us. Both games are priced at US$49.99 new at GameStop, so you'd essentially be saving about US$90 with this bundle.
As to which console gamers should choose to purchase is a matter of personal preference and it's best to search exclusive games to each console to see which one might interest you more.
But as far as the future holds, Sony plans to release Project Morpheus in 2016, which is reportedly a virtual realty gaming headset similar to that of the Oculus Rift headset and will use the PlayStation Camera to track user's movements.
On the other hand for Microsoft, the company boasts the upcoming update of Windows 10 promising that the Xbox One will have cross-platform gameplay with PC, meaning PC gamers will be able to play Xbox games on their computer, and Xbox gamers will be able to play PC games on their console.
