The Grand Theft Auto (GTA) V PC version is due for release this April.

Even before the launching of GTA V, the modding community was already planning to make mods for the upcoming game.

Mod makers that are also fans of GTA V will create a framework for the upcoming PC game. The mod will greatly borrow most of the framework from "Altis Life" and the "Arma 3" game.

Altis Life is a mod tool and server that converted Arma 3 into a police versus criminals game.  GTA V players are already assuming the roles of criminals in the game, however.

The proposed GTA V mod called "Los Santos Life" aims to take the playing experience a bit further.

The mod game will introduce a kind of stat tracking engine, in which players can assume multiple roles in the game. Aside from playing criminals and cops, gamers can also assume other roles such as firefighters or even medics.

The Grand Theft Auto V PC mod version is supposed to have added features absent from the original game.

Players will be given a chance to earn money legally. You can either work for the government or get a job in the private sector, instead.  Players can engage in stock trading, mining or even treasure hunting.

For those that would like to earn money the old fashioned way, the proposed mod will allow you to rob other players and NPCs or deal in contraband.

Gang territories can be set up in the game.

Players will be given the option to trade their business cards with the police and other fellow players.

The openness of the GTA games allows the proliferation of mods that keep the game interesting.
