Myolie Wu's contract with TVB will expire later this year and it is still uncertain whether the 35-year old actress has been offered to renew her contract or if she is currently in negotiations about it. What's certain though is her desire to venture outside TVB-even declining to shoot a new drama with the station.

With so many actors and actresses leaving TVB including Baby Blues star Raymond Lam, Myolie is currently speculated to follow their footsteps in the hopes of breaking into the Mainland China market. Myolie has also said that she wants to better think about her future, as well as expressed her desire to spend more quality time with boyfriend, 33-year old actor Philip Lee.

Myolie was offered the lead role in "EU-Overtime Mission" alongside Vincent Wong, but she rejected the role and simply mentioned that she wanted to take a quick break from filming. She explained that she was exhausted after working on the Mainland reality tv show, "Wonderful Friends" but completely denied the rumors that she no longer wants to work for TVB.

With the upcoming drama scheduled to start filming in less than two months, producer Lam Chi Wah is in a hurry to find a new actress to replace Myolie. There have been rumors suggesting that Kate Tsui will step up for the role, but Lam clarified the rumors and said that no final decision about the casting has been made.
