Cool and free iPhone apps allow a user to rate himself and his colleagues according to different emotional characteristics.
One of the free apps called Knozen helps employees rate each other's assertiveness, analytical ability, skepticism, patience and friendliness.
The other app, Good.Co, uses quizzes to assess a person's personality and to receive feedback from contacts in their Facebook and LinkedIn.

Marc Cenedella, founder and chief executive officer of New York-based Knozen, said the app was designed for people who want to know more about how they perceive others.
Knozen operates through workplace email and at least seven colleagues belonging to the same company must be signed up to use it. The app suggests questions that determine different personality traits and tries to find out if certain colleagues possess these personalities.
Cenedella said that all questions are positive and have a goal of evaluating an employee's personality.
Knozen will then plot the results for each colleague on a matrix that shows the personality traits on a scale of one to five. Users can also compare their traits with others.
“When we say someone is patient, it means that compared to everyone else they will be more likely to wait longer and not get snappy," Canedella noted when explaining the matrix.
Good.Co uses positive questions and delivers a score that measures the compatibility of employees with each other and the company.
The score is based on motivations, personality traits and attitudes.
Samar Birwadker, San Francisco-based Good.Co CEO, said, “Many times feedback we receive from others is more honest than what we’d say about ourselves.”
