Along with the end of Chinese national championship competition of track and field, China's track athletes also finished their final qualification competition of attending the World Championship held in Moscow. Only Shi Dongpeng and Jiang Fan reached the B standard of 110-meter hurdle race of Moscow World Championship, and only one of the two will hopefully be qualified to go to Moscow with Xie Wenjun who ran a record score of 13″28 this year. This time, Chinese team's goal in the World Championship is not winning a medal or medals for it is not capable of winning one currently.

Chinese national championship competition of track and field, also China's last race contest before the World Championship held in Moscow this August, was ended in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, it was also the final opportunity for players fighting for an access to Moscow World Championship. Although almost all China's best 110-meter hurdle players attended this Shenyang race, the contest results were not exciting as well as satisfying. Shi Dongpeng won the first prize with 13″48, Jiang Fan, the second, 13″50, only they two reached the B standard of 110 meter hurdle, and Yin Jing, 13″72, took the third place.
According to the deputy director of the Administration Center of China's Track and Field, Feng Shuyong, Moscow World Championship set the rules that one country could only register three players in one program(like the A standard), or one attend A standard plus one, B standard. Feng said the standards were lifted every year with two reasons, firstly, the hurdling skills are rising every year, secondly, organizers need to reduce the amount of players when put television relay into consideration. In other words, China is actually retrogressing in this sporting program. Only in 2012, Liu Xiang was the second best race player in the world with the score of 12″97.
