Taylor Swift meant business when she went ahead to insure her legs for US$40 million.
According to Style News, whether it's true or not, Swift does have legs to die for. In an accompanying photo, she was seen the past few days running errands and simply strolling in her beloved shorts or sundress. There is also no doubt that her legs play a great role in her career after she made an awesome guesting in the recent Victoria's Secret fashion show.

According to Uproxx, Swift is not the first Hollywod celebrity to insure her legs. In the 80's, Mary Hart famously insured her legs and just recently, soccer superstar David Beckham did the same thing. Celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Kylie Minogue however, went extreme by insuring their butts. In a post by MTV, you can't blame the star for doing so, as she has all the qualifications of being a supermodel and at the same time pop star that can easily rock the stage.
The insurance will have to answer in case anything happens to Swift, specifically her legs that may incapacitate her to perform. The US$40 million amount will be enough for getting her broke.
The policy that celebrities look for in getting their valuable assets insured will enable them to still earn a living in case something happens. So it doesn't come as a surprise that Julia Roberts also has US$30 million smile and Mariah Carey's legs are worth US$1 Billion.
In a funny but more practical manner, they also suggested that Swift's management will have the guts to insure her famous red lips, vocal chords and her heart that emotionally turns an experience into one of the greatest relatable songs ever.
The insurance news came out in light of her upcoming tour in May, shielding the star from any possible injuries.
