Vladimir Putin is not at all sick or is not suffering from any kind of illness amid rumors that arose shortly after the Russian president cancelled a foreign trip, Kremlin announced.

Putin was supposedly go to Astana, Kazakhstan for a scheduled trip on Thursday and Friday but  the trip had been cancelled, a Kazakh source confirmed. Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov dismissed the speculations from the media that Putin was suffering from an ailment, thus the cancelled trip.

Peskov adds that the 62-year-old leader of Russia is just busy as of the moment because he has meetings every time. There were photographs posted at the Kremlin website showing that Putin is busy with his meetings and the photos were dated March 10 and 11.

However, according to Russian news outlet RBK, Putin has not been seen on live television from March 5. He was last seen with the Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi on March 5 but no other appearances came after that.

Peskov pointed out that not all meetings are made public.

Kremlin also posted many videos on the website but people are looking for clues as to when the videos were recorded because they feel that these were pre-recorded and that Putin is really sick.

Aside from the Kazakhstan trip, Putin was also set to sign a treaty of integration between Russia and South Ossetia, a former part of Georgia. This, too, was cancelled but reports suggest that it has nothing to do with the health of Putin as the documents were not fully agreed upon yet by the two countries.

Putin was also supposed to attend a federal security meeting last Thursday but it did not push through.
