Missouri Teen Abducts Friend’s 10-Year-Old Sister, Girl Foils Rape Attempt

A 17-year-old Missouri high school student is facing child kidnapping, burglary and two counts of child abuse after he abducted on Thursday the 10-year old sister of his high school best friend.

Fortunately, authorities rescued the girl 35 minutes later after John Thomas Classen forced her to come with him. She also foiled his attempt to rape her, St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Before the incident, Classen had already expressed his attraction to the young girl through a social media message, but his best friend initially believed that Classen had good intentions on his sister.

"I took it in the best possible way and thought he was just being friendly," the best friend said

Classen's plan was to kidnap the girl from her home and force her to come with him. He unlocked on purpose a window to his best friend's house two days ago when he visited them and slipped in and hid in the basement until the girl went to bed.

He was successful in abducting her, but the girl's mother who discovered her daughter missing, saw them behind the house when the dogs started barking. She called 911.

He left her at a wooded area and fled in his car, but Classen was arrested at a police checkpoint. Police found her shaken and with bruises, but was okay.

Classen, who surely had lost a best friend, has a bail set at US$1.5 million.

His mobile phone showed that Classen had more than just lustful intentions on the 10-year-old but also criminal intentions. The cellphone list reads: "Take her to a secondary location, explain everything to her, smother her, rape her dead body, clean up and then pose the body ... photograph her, dispose of her body, leave town," quotes Fox.

To mask his identity, Classen said he would wear latex glove and after the crime hide in a foreclosed house, and then steal money and cars.
