Gambling Loser Admits to Bus Blast in Guangzhou Tuesday

A 25-year-old man has confessed he was behind the huge fire that occurred Tuesday night in a full-packed bus in Guangzhou City in south China, killing two and injuring 32 others.
The suspect, surnamed Ou, told police he set the bus in anger after losing in a gambling bout.

Ou, who comes from Hunan Province in Central China, was arrested before noon Wednesday in downtown Guangzhou, according to the municipal security bureau.
Meanwhile, eight of the victims in Tuesday night's blast remain under intensive care in three hospitals in the city where the victims were rushed to after the explosion.
At Guangdong Provincial No. 2 People's Hospital, a 28-year-old mother had burns covering more than 40% or her body, aside from suffering a broken leg.
Doctors said the fetus is in unstable condition and needs to be monitored non-stop.
Another victim, considered to be the most critical, is a 16-year-old boy who had to be transferred to another hospital Wednesday afternoon.
Guangdong provincial officials as well as those in Guangzhou City have expressed serious concern for the incident, and hinted that there might be a security lapse in the city's public transportation system.
Guangdong Party chief Hu Chunhua and governor Zhu Xiaodan urged law enforcement officials to investigation the case fully and to make the results public as soon as possible.
n July 5, a 34-year-old man was also arrested for suspicion of setting fire to a bus in Hangzhou in east China's Zhejiang Province, injuring 32 people.
