Colleen said in the interview that she is filing for divorce because the fights have already caused too much damage. Tommy has had a history of both assault and criminal damage charges. With this being known, it seemed very likely of him to exhibit violence toward his wife.
Last June 2, Colleen was reported to have a neck injury. On the same day, she also claimed that her knuckles were also injured as it bled due to a door being slammed on it by her husband. Tommy then reported that he was also injured in the physical quarrel. Charges have been presssed against both parties involved.
Collen says that their three-year-old son is now her main priority. She was raised by a single-parent family and says that she does not want her son to go through the same things she did.
She has stated her pain about this divorce and said that she can handle physical wounds but won't put up with her son being emotionally hurt. She also expressed that she will spend her life with her son and would take care of him alone. The couple has been reportedly living in separate households for several months now.
However, Tommy said in a rebuttal that he is being treated unfairly. Details about his qualms were released in a statement. He says that his wife is the one crying about domestic violence but he was also hit by her. He also emphasized that being a man these days is very unfair. Tommy said that Colleen is not a weak woman. In fact, she is very explosive.
He denied that he slammed the door which caused Colleen's hands to bleed but admitted that money was the reason for their argument.
In addition to Tommy's statement, the press told the public that the HK singer has trained for martial arts for almost 8 years. This makes it difficult to believe that she would suffer from domestic violence. Speculations have surfaced that she might be making up this issue and is just a cry for attention. The stunt she is pulling might be for publicity in order to boost her singing career.
Police are now investigating the said domestic violence case.
