U.S. tech company and GPU maker Nvidia Corporation is planning to build a unique device that can run both Android games as well as high-end PC games.
Nvidia said this new, hybrid gaming device will be able to run native Android apps and games when used as a standalone device. If the gaming device is connected to a PC with an Nvidia GPU, the device can be used as a PC gaming console.

The gaming video can be streamed to a TV using the HDMI port.
Nvidia already has a similar device called Nvidia Shield, which is a handheld gaming console. With the new hybrid Android-PC gaming device, the company plans to provide a cheaper and separate controller along with it.
Experts also believe this device could actually be the "Shield Tablet," which has been under speculation for quite a while.
Nvidia has been providing computing hardware for both mobiles and PC for years. The company launched its first full-gaming hardware device as Nvidia Shield. The portable console, which comes with a 5-inch screen, failed to find a considerable audience, however.
Nvidia now plans to compete in the market against both mobile gaming companies and PC gaming companies with its new device.
So far, however, not much has been disclosed by the company regarding its new device. All that a spokeswoman from the company said was that the company is planning to launch an awesome new gaming product soon.
Nvidia manufactures graphics processing units or GPUs and system-on-a-chip units (SOCs) for the mobile computing market. Nvidia's primary GPU product line is called "GeForce."
