The titillating "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" game has become the third most popular free app on Apple's App store.

It's also included in the top ten 10 games on Google Play.

"Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" has received an almost perfect overall rating from Apple's App Store and Google Play.

The free game for iOS and Android features Hollywood hottie Kim Kardashian. It's an adventure game that lets gamers create their own celebrity and interact with reality show stars, friends and frenemies.

Glu Mobile, creator of the game, released it June 25 as a free download game. The company receives a penny from each downloaded game via the in-app purchases of the players.

Jezebel, a Gawker Media-owned blog, said there's a certain player who spent US$500 just to gain a lot of fans in the game.

A game analyst said this freem game could earn US$200 million in a year via ads and in-app purchase earnings.

Glu Mobile is also planning to tie-up with the the upcoming Hercules movie that has Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson starring as the mythical Greek muscleman.

The popularity of freemium games these days shows that casual gamers are responsive to these tie-ins with famous icons and brands.

Analysts said it's too early to comment if Kardashian: Hollywood will be as popular as Candy Crush, or whether Kim's checkered reputation could be bad for the game.

Game analysts noted that "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" may also lose its spark just like other popular mobile games Candy Crush and FarmVille.
