Sending your child to college is one of the most challenging things any parent will go through and Madonna was no exception.
Her 18-year old daughter Lourdes just left to attend her first year in the University of Michigan and talking about Lourdes' departure, Madonna revealed that it was "an absolutely devastating experience."

The Queen of Pop told Ellen that she had been warned by other parents but didn't realize that it was going to be that bad. Talking to Ellen, she said that she told her sister that she was being too dramatic when she bawled when her son went away for college. However, when Lourdes left, she revealed that she "fell into the deepest depression," though she's extremely happy when Lourdes call her and tells her she misses her.
On the bright side, Madonna was excited to share that Lourdes has a boyfriend whom she approves of.
She said that the boyfriend, who is a sophomore and 1 year older than Lourdes, visited their house and spent the weekend with them. Describing him, she delightfully said, "He's a very sensible boy-young man, I shouldn't say he's a boy. He's intelligent, so I'm happy about that."
On the topic of young men, Ellen quizzed Madonna about the guys she's been dating for the past five to six years, to which Madonna replied that the youngest man she's ever dated in the last six years was 22 years old.
However, she seemed unhappy with the question and asked why everyone seems to be obsessed with age. "Age is a number," she said.
She also spent some time to discuss her infamous fall which occurred just last month at the Brit Awards. When news about her falling surfaced, the designer of the cape she was wearing Giorgio Armani said that she fell because she was being difficult. But Madonna sharply replied and said that what the 80-year old fashion designer was "total b***s**t."
