‘Mortal Kombat X’ New Characters Added; PS3 and Xbox 360 Platform Postponed

NetherRealm Studios confirmed on March 13 that Jason VoorHees of Friday the 13th is a playable character in "Mortal Kombat X'' Kombat Pack. Unfortunately, Jason is only available as a downloadable content you need to purchase.

Sonya Blade, Cassie Cage's mother, is also in the list as one of the fighters on MKX.

IGN reportedly had a hands-on of the game pack where Vince Ingenito played Johnny Cage and fought against Jax and Shinnok at the Game Developers Conference 2015 held at San Francisco, California.

"A bunch more slots on the character select screen that need to be filled, so it's quite likely most if not all of these characters are indeed playable, " he posted.

So far, 24 characters have already been confirmed that include Kitana, Goro, Sub Zero, Smoke, Nightwolf, Kenshi, Fujin, Stryker and Kabal. The story mode, which focuses on a specific fighter's story, was the same with MK9, he said.

Mortal Kombat X' Kombat Pack and Samurai Pack will be available at launch. Samurai pack comes with new skins for Kenshi, Shinnok and Kitana.

Mortal Kombat X will be released on April 14 and will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The game pack for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 has been delayed this summer. Polygon reported that a representative from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment told them High Voltage Software is responsible for developing Mortal Kombat X on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC.

Johnny Cage and Ronin Kenshi are both confirmed playable fighters for the Mortal Kombat X' mobile version.
