Players can choose five characters in the mod game.  The first four, the Mercenary, Tactical, royal Guard and Blast Armor, are available at the start of the game.

The last character, the Adjutant, will only be made available after the player earns a certain number of kills.

The StarCraft 2 Mod game can be played by a single player or in multiplayer cooperative mode with a maximum of four players. The game objective is quite simple. Survive by defeating the endless waves of zerg swarms surrounding your base camp. The mod game has four arenas and four games modes

Interestingly, Psionic Warfare: Total Destruction is based on another StarCraf third person shooter mod engine made by another modder. The creator of Psionic Warfare admitted using the previous mod as the framework.

The SC 2 mod game includes a tutorial to help players familiarize themselves with combat controls, as well as use of special abilities. Vikings are playable in this game mod and they even have voice acting.

Psionic Warfare: Total Destruction is divided into two versions. Basically, they're the same game except each carries two different maps. The creator explained this is necessary because of "performance concerns."

The creator even warned the SC 2 mod game won't run on certain computers that have slow processors. He also didn't specify the minimum spec in which the mod game can be played.

Psionic Warfare: Total Destruction is available for free in the Blizzard Arcade.
