According to the Sina Technology News on June 25, 2013, Microsoft has announced that it will launch a special version of Bing - Bing for schools, which this version is specially designed for students. Microsoft has promises "Bing for schools" will provide educational institutions ad-free search results, no adult content, as well as enhanced specialized learning features.

The Bing behavioral scientist, Matt Wallaert, said in a blog post "as a country, we've set schools aside as a special place that is focused on learning, and have traditionally kept advertising out of that environment." In that vein, Bing For Schools removes ads from searches, "keeping with our strong belief that schools are for learning and not selling," Wallaert wrote.
According to the report, the Bing for school system will automatically default to the strict SafeSearch setting, and students are not able to change it.
Microsoft states that for those who want to learn more can also register at the Bing for School Website, and the company has also promised to update information on how schools can take advantage of the program.
The industry insiders believe Microsoft's student-friendly search engine will help to build good reputation among teachers, school officials, and parents.
"We see the program as something we can build alongside teachers, parents, and visionaries to create the best possible search experience for our children, and will continue to update you with new information as we work towards our launch later this year," Microsoft said in its blog.
