Sinead O'Connor's fans may not hear the artist sing her popular song "Nothing Compares 2 U" anytime soon, as the singer reveals she lacks the emotions to sing it whole heartedly.

According to Yahoo News, the singer posted on her Facebook account the reason, saying, "Ok, the time has come for me to cease singing Nothing Compares 2 U. The first principle of the manner in which I'm trained as a singer is we never sing a song we don't emotionally identify with."

She also added, "I'm trained in honesty, I can't act. It is just not in my training.I have ceased singing other songs over the years for the same reasons."

After years of being able to sing it, O'Connor finally let her fans know of the song's absence in her upcoming shows revealing, she didn't want to disappoint them by not singing the song.

It would also be a lie singing the song just to please her fans, indicating she wanted to be true as much as possible.

In a report by TheGuardian, about nine months ago, O'Connor didn't feel the right feelings in order to sing the song passionately and pushing through it may mean failure in her delivery. Prince, who originally wrote the song "Nothing Compares 2 u," was picked up by O'Connor and made her own version of it.

After its successful release and an outstanding music video, the song became the eventual theme of broken hearted people. Its worldwide release made it to the top of the charts, gaining more popularity as the years went by. In 2014, The Guardian interviewed O'Connor where she expressed her thoughts about her single, even rejecting the idea that she may somehow grow and resent singing the song. Her 10^th album titled, "I'm not bossy, I'm The Boss" was released on August11, 2014.
