Members of the German Parliament hailed the election victory of Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but at the same time, they express concern over his warning against the Arab voters on the eve of the polls, and his rejection of the Palestinian State.
The chairman of the German parliamentary group, Volker Beck, congratulated all the elected deputies to the 20th Knesset, adding that "Israeli voters made it exciting, as they gave new vibrancy to the country's democracy."

The Germans also praise the "high electorial participation of Arab Israelis."
They take it as an indication the "the Arab population identifies with the Israeli state and would like to be part of Israel's state."
German executive board members Gitta Connemann, Kerstin Griese and Jan Korte join in the statement, but at the same time the lawmakers note, "with great concern, the rejection of a Palestinian State by Prime Minister Netanyahu."
The left-leaning publication, Der Spiegel, describes the accomplishment of Netanyahu as "panic victory."
It says the Israel leaders' call for the people to go to the polls in droves to counter the flooding of Arab votes seems as if he is playing the race card.
They say the Prime Minister only wants his constituents to switch their focus on existential dangers, and shrug off all other unsolved problems and his government's bad performance.
Meanwhile, Kersten Augustin from the liberal weekly Die Zeit says the international community must not allow Netanyahu to get away with statements like he would make the formation of a Palestinian State impossible.
Meanwhile, Clemens Wergin, the Washington correspondent of the conservative-leaning 'Die Welt' considers Netanyahu's victory as a loss to U.S. President Barack Obama.
He also says Netanyahu's critics in Europe are hypocritical and are using double standards in hitting Netanyahu and his campaign strategy.
