After his second doping violation, American tennis player Wayne Odesnik has been banned in play for 15 years.
The sanction effectively ended Odesnik's career. While the prospect of a sports professionals' career ending before he decides to retire may seem bleak, several of the top tennis players in the world applauded the decision.

Tested in December and January, the International Tennis Federation said that Odesnik tested positive for several banned substances. This includes steroids.
Even though the announcement only came out now, the decision was backdated to Jan. 30, and will run until 2030.
"Players and athletes should know if they cheat, they get caught," second-ranked Roger Federer said from California. "I'm all for a clean sport, and that's why you've got to catch those guys who don't do the things they are supposed to be doing."
Number three seed Rafael Nadal also said that since the 29-year old American was caught twice, he does not deserve to be on tour again.
Finally, even fellow American Andy Murray isn't on Odesnik's side, saying he doesn't believe a word of the story. Murray says he has been linked to a number of people who are doping, so he isn't really surprised.
The consensus reaction of the top players in the sport are of relief for having cheaters like Odesnik off the tour.
The first sanction on Odesnik was in 2010 when he was found in possession of human growth hormones (HGH). He was banned from April 2010 to Aug. 2011 after he pleaded guilty in Australia for importing HGH.
Then, he denied all allegations of taking the substance himself. He said he had never tested positive.
Last year's U.S. Open saw Odesnik earn a wild card spot. However, he eventually lost to Kei Nishikori in the first round. It was the first time he played in the tournament's main draw since before he was banned the first time.
