Female rappers have been threatened and intimidated by the FAME singer Iggy Azalea and Nicki Minaj is joining the bandwagon. During the BET Awards, was Nicki really referring to Azalea during her speech?

Even if Nicki did not mention any names, she did say that other rappers do not write their own music. It has been rumored that Azalea indeed does not write her own lines and that T.I. might be ghost writing for Iggy. With that said, there is a great chance that Minaj was actually directing this to her co-female rapper.

Nick Young, 29, talked about this in an interview and revealed how Azalea, 24, handled what transpired in the BET Awards. He says that he dealt with the aftermath and that he had to comfort her during that time.

Azalea heard a lot of bad things and trash talks but her boyfriend said that she is doing big things. This might be the reason why people are throwing stones at her, figuratively that is.

With her hit single Fancy being number one for seven weeks, this might have scared a lot of other female rappers. Young said that his girlfriend brushed it off and that he was proud Azalea was at her prime right now.

However, Minaj responed to this by saying that the media puts words in her mouth. This being an issue is no different than others. She pressed that she is taking a stance on women who are writing because she believes in their capabilities. She added that Azalea should be proud about her latest hit.

MInaj was quoted with this statement: "... When you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it." Minaj was able to produce great hits for the past years and that she is known for how fast she raps.

Although alleged to have a strained relationship with singer Mariah Carey, Minaj still has a lot of fans and is really happy that she won the award for Best Female Hip Hop Artist last June.
