In a video posted on TMZ, country superstar Tim McGraw is seen slapping a female fan on the head in a concert held in Aaron's Amphitheatre at Lakewood in Atlanta, Georgia.

Uploaded on July 17, the video features McGraw performing "Truck Yeah" while high-fiving fans. At the 44 second mark, a blonde woman appears to slap his leg twice, even coming close to hitting his privates.

In a reactionary move, McGraw slaps the excitable fan across the face before security escorts her out.  McGraw then proceeded with his performance.

Amidst negative press surrounding the incident, McGraw stated that he only "instinctively swatted" her.

His rep commented, "Tim was singing out in the audience and someone firmly grabbed onto his leg and wouldn't let go as he was moving through the crowd. He instinctively swatted to try to keep them from ripping his jeans, and so he could get to more fans who could slap hands with him before the end of the show."

The fan has not yet to come forward to give a statement.

Consequently, another high-strung fan caused a ruckus in McGraw's concert in 2007. In his Soul2Soul tour at the Cajundome in Louisiana, McGraw was performing with his wife, Faith Hill, when a fan grabbed his crotch. Hill berated the woman, stating, "Somebody needs to teach you some class, my friend. You don't go grabbin' somebody else's, somebody's husband's [private parts], you understand me? That's very disrespectful."

In a recent interview, McGraw revealed his struggle with sobriety. McGraw shared that Hill helped him recognize that he needed to give up his wild ways. He shared, "When your wife tells you it's gone too far, that's a big wake-up call. That, and realizing you're gonna lose everything you have. Not monetarily, not career-wise, but family-wise."
