Happy "Uncharted 4" Update!

Recent reports say PlayStation posted a note about the release date of the fourth installment of "Uncharted," which won numerous Game of the Year awards.

Uncharted fans have been looking forward to the release date of Sony's Uncharted 4 since the day it was announced at the company's E3 Press Conference last year. Game enthusiasts are guessing and searching for news if the final sequel will come this year, on the first quarter or in the second quarter of 2016.

On June 11, 2014, PlayStation posted Uncharted 4's director's plan about the game, which they cited as one of the most anticipated games for 2015.

More recently, however, PlayStation featured a note from Game Director Bruce Straley and Creative Director Neil Druckmann giving thanks to Uncharted fans for their patience.

"We know the extra wait will be excruciating, but you'll see it will be worth it as we reveal more about Uncharted 4 over the next year. The team at Naughty Dog will be heads down working through 2015 making sure that Nathan Drake's story gets the closure it deserves," they said in a statement.

Game Informer's February issue reported that Naughty Dog revealed Uncharted 4's premise. The story picks up three years after Uncharted 3, and Drake has settled down with Elena, his wife. His routine is disrupted when Sam, the older brother he assumed to be dead, bursts back into his life.

Naughty Dog confirmed the award-winning action adventure platform video game series following modern-day treasure hunter Nate Drake Nate Drake is sure to return early 2016.

Amazon confirmed the exact date as March 31, 2016.

"Come Spring 2016, you and Nate are in for one thrilling, emotional ride", Uncharted Directors concluded their note.
