Jayne Stars is reporting that Lee sat on the table with HKTV Chairman, Ricky Wong to discuss about an upcoming project called “Turbulence.” The internet drama is expected to run between 20 to 30 episodes and the HK official has apparently chosen Lee for its female lead character.
With all expense paid by Wong, including air fare and five-star hotel accommodations, the meeting has reportedly been successful to both parties and it is believed that Lee was offered $100,000 HKD for her work per episode.
The sun and moon seem to be on Lee’s side that there is a big chance the agreement will be finalized and only awaiting her signature. When things fall into place, filming of the internet drama is expected to commence at the end of July.
Angelica Lee is a Malaysian-Chinese actress and pop singer, known for her role in “The Eye,” the hit Asian horror film created by Pang Brothers. Lee began her career as a singer but began her acting career when she moved to Taiwan and Hong Kong.
She rose to international fame after filming “The Eye,” giving her The Golden Horse Award for Best Actress, Best Actress at the Hong Kong film festival and Hong Kong Golden Bauhinia Award.
The singer-actress made the headlines in recent months when the news broke out that her husband, Oxide Pang had been cheating on Lee with young model, Liddy Li. The couple has reportedly tried to work things out and decided to stay together amid the cheating scandal.
