Digital copies of "Interstellar" were released this Tuesday with the Blu-ray versions coming soon and Paramount decided to commemorate the digital release with the launching of the "Interstellar Text Adventure."

Credit is due to the movie producer for honoring a high tech sci-fi movie like Interstellar with the most primitive digital game known to man.

As the title suggests, Interstellar Text Adventure is text based only, without any images at all. You'll travel in space by simply typing commands. For those too young to remember, this kind of game was quite popular in the early 1980s.

In Interstellar Text Adventure, you play the role of a Lazarus Project scientist and explorer searching for humanity's next home planet.

After you've recovered from your deep sleep, you'll have to send out four probes that will search for suitable planets to live in. The game and the commands to be used can take time getting used to, especially for the younger guys used to playing video games.

The game does encourage players to avail of the help function whenever they get stumped on a particular section of the game.

The game will immediately start by instructing you to hit the "Enter" key or touch anywhere on the screen. The introduction of the story will then be revealed.

After reading it, you can now input a command into the field provided and located at the bottom of the game screen beside the symbol ">".

Type "help" first to get the basic command list that will be used in the text adventure game. The goal is to solve all puzzles presented to finish the story.
