May Chan is being blasted for putting on a diva attitude and arriving four hours late to work. On March 23, radio DJ and photographer Sunny posted an unnamed photo of a woman who strongly resembled May. Along with the photo, he wrote, "Originally scheduled for 4 pm. She didn't arrive until 9 pm."

Though Sunny didn't give a hint as to the woman was, social media users were quick to guess that it was the 29-year old actress. While many were annoyed with her behavior, they also seemed to be unsurprised. One netizen even shared her personal experience with May and revealed that she taught May dance lessons before and all the actress did was complain that she could not "do this or that."
Sunny explained that he has been photographing the actors and actresses for one of director Patrick Kong's upcoming movie projects. He admitted that May was one of the actresses in the film. And while they planned to wrap up at 6 pm, May informed them that she would be a little late; they waited but weren't able to finish until 10 pm.
Sunny didn't hesitate to say that May was acting like a diva on the set. The photographer irately revealed that they waited for her for four hours but never got an apology from May. "Having us all wait for you is really annoying!" Sunny said.
When asked if he would like to work with the "Black Heart, White Soul" actress again, Sunny said that he works with various people each year, but doesn't think that he would want to work with May now. "I understand that an artist can be really busy and being late to a schedule is common, but never as far as being four hours late."
However, according to May, she had an acceptable reason as to why she was late. She acknowledged that she was extremely late to the photoshoot but it was because of a family emergency that she couldn't get out of. She explained that she asked the crew if they could do the shoot on another day so they wouldn't have to wait for her and informed them that she couldn't be there "until 8:30 pm at the earliest," but they were the ones who said no.
