Harry Styles and the rest of the One Direction members put on a fantastic show for their fans in Jakarta, but Zayn's absence proved to be hard for Harry when he suddenly broke down in tears on stage. Casual in a black t-shirt with his hair up, Harry walked around the stage, with his hands wiping away the tears.

The extremely successful boy band took to the stage in the capital of Indonesia as the news of Zayn Malik's decision to retire from the band broke all over the world. Harry unashamedly expressed how he felt about their band mate's departure while on the latest stop of their On The Road Again tour while a seemingly sad Louis Tomlinson reached out his arm to put it around an imaginary Zayn.

Harry, Louis, Niall Horan and Liam Payne paid tribute to their ex-member in a statement they just released today and assured fans that they will continue performing at their sell-out shows despite the sad news.

The 22-year old Zayn officially announced his decision to retire from the group leaving the rest of the members to continue as a four-member band. In an official statement he released, he expressed his gratitude and happiness to be with One Direction for five good years, but feels like it's the right time for him to leave and live his life like a normal 22-year old.

And while he's leaving the band, he said that he still has four great friends, referring to his band mates, for life and know that they will continue to be being the best band in the world.

The "Steal My Girl" singers are already set to start on their 5^th album and are continuing with the rest of their tour dates without Zayn.

The One Direction members also released a statement and while they expressed their sadness over Zayn's departure, they said that they "totally respect his decision and send him all our love for the future." They added that their time together was amazing and they've gone through so much and therefore will always remain friends. The members assured their fans that they will continue and revealed that they will be recording a new album.

The band still has a few weeks left on their tour before taking a break in May, then it's back to recording and performing until October.

Meanwhile, One Direction creator, Simon Cowell, expressed his gratitude for Zayn's commitment to the band. He said that he's extremely proud of him and of his transformation into a confident young man. "I am truly sorry to see him leave," he said before assuring 1D's loyal fans that the four remaining members will continue and are totally excited for their future together.
