Lupin III was directed by Ryuhei Kitamura and written by Mataichiro Yamamoto. This was a seinen manga released by Monkey Punch in 1967 that has sprawled a franchise such as anime series and films, television specials, games and stage productions.

According to a Nerdist review, Lupin III looks criminally good it has a brand new theme song called "Trick Attack - Theme of Lupin the Third" by Tomoyasu Hotel.

This can be considered as another success in live adaptation of an anime series in Japan where Americans ventured rather unsuccessfully.

Just last year, Japan released the action packed live action of Rurouni Kenshin which garnered $61.7 million in the box office.
