Rumors that Mainland Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi have been debunked after she  was spotted sporting micro shorts with a flat belly at Japan's Narita Airport.

On Saturday, March 22, photos of the actress, taken at the premiere of the film 'Oh My God' in Beijing, looking bloated around the belly area surfaced sparking rumors which claim that Zhang is possibly pregnant with her first child with fiancé, rock star Wang Feng.

Netizens speculated that the 36-year old actress is expecting her first child, however, the rumors were immediately shot down after photos of the actress at the Narita Airport in Japan were uploaded online on March 25. Zhang is said to have been wearing micro shorts and did not look pregnant at all. Eye witnesses also supported the claim, saying that the actress appeared slim and flat-bellied.

Furthermore, many have claimed that the 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon' star looked pregnant in her photos at the premiere due to her choice of clothing, which other netizens have referred to as a 'publicity stunt'. However, others came to her defense, saying that since the new film she is currently promoting, 'The Baby from Universe', is about a woman who is expecting a child. A source claimed that the actress needed to appear pregnant for the shoot.

According to reports, sources also claimed that it is impossible for Zhang to have such a big baby bump when only a month ago, the actress appeared very slim during the proposal dinner.

The actress has not stepped forward to either confirm or deny the rumor, but many believe that she can't possibly be with child.

In related news, after returning from her Las Vegas vacation with Wang, Zhang is said to have resumed work and is currently working on a new film, 'The Baby from Universe', which also features EXO's Lay.
