Hong Kong singer Mag Lam revealed that she has suffered physical abuse in the hands of her on-again, off-again boyfriend, who goes with the moniker Ben.

Following her revelation that she has been suffering the anorexia and depression, Lam has also shared that she has been physically abused by her long-time boyfriend, Ben, whom she claimed to be paranoid and suspicious that she would cheat on him.

According to media reports, Ben allegedly started hitting the 24-year old singer in March of 2014. Lam shared that she did not want to call the police on Ben since they have been in a relationship for a long time. Hoping that she can still salvage their relationship, Lam even planned a trip with her boyfriend, however, he wasn't able to control his temper and hit the singer again.

Although Lam kept her situation a secret from the public, many have noticed that she has been wearing sunglasses too often, particularly in October 2014. According to media reports, the singer has been trying to cover her eye which has been severely bruised.

The singer further stated that Ben has changed in terms of behavior and has been monitoring Lam's daily activities which led her to ultimately end the relationship.

Lam expressed, her sadness over ending the relationship, explaining that she has done everything she could to save it. "We've been together for so long that I didn't want to let go. I tried so many methods ..." the singer stated. "I can't suffer like this anymore."

The singer also expressed disappointment over the fact that Ben badmouthed her on social media, claiming that she cheated on him, thus his abusive behavior. After the breakup, Ben aired his grievances on Facebook and accused the singer of cheating on him thrice.

He wrote, "When you cheated the first time, I thought I wasn't being good enough to you. The second time, I also blamed myself for not knowing how to handle the problem. This is the third time and you still get angry that I check your phone."

On the one hand, Lam's former boyfriend, Sheldon Lo, came to her defense and stated his belief that she would not cheat on her boyfriend. In addition, he cleared the rumors that he was the reason for the couple's breakup, saying that he is currently in a relationship with someone else.
