Rainie Yang has been working in the entertainment industry for nearly half of her life and feels like it's the right time to reflect on her life's direction and initiate an overhaul of her image.
Now that she's 30, she revealed that she's learned more self-awareness and by reflecting, has realized that it is time to change. Though she loves her job, she expressed that she also needs to take some time off work to explore other aspects of her life.

The pretty "Endless Nights in Aurora" star said, "I used to work so hard, but now I want more time for myself. I want to have a better quality of life."
Since her debut in the industry as one of the members of the all-girl band "4 In Love," Rainie hasn't stopped working and while many might think that she's used to the spotlight, she still hasn't shed her innately shy and introverted nature. This sometimes makes her one of the media's targets, often criticizing her for being unfriendly and snobbish.
Rainie entered the industry when she was only 15 years old and if you ask any actor who started young about the difficulties of making it in the industry, what they'll all say is how challenging it is to shed the cutesy and wholesome image, which is the same predicament that Rainie had to overcome. Regarding this issue, she said that she continues to prove to the people that she's no longer as childish as what her younger image might have portrayed. She expressed her desire to be taken seriously and said that, "I know it'll take a lot of time, especially for the audience to get used to my 'serious' self."
She added that she does not regret putting herself in the spotlight at an early age and explained that the entertainment industry will always be her passion. However, she expressed her longing to slow down and take some time out for herself, which she probably will be able to do now that she plans on taking on lighter and fewer projects.
