Upcoming teen action-comedy movie "Barely Lethal" is no longer rated R.
Just this Thursday, the Classification and Rating Appeals Board has overturned Barely Lethal's R rating given to it for its portrayal of sex and teen drinking. The movie, which stars Hailee Steinfeld, is now rated PG-13 for language, teen drinking, sexual material, drug references and violence.

A24 and DirecTV acquired the U.S. rights to the film last month and are planning on releasing it in April in select theaters and of course on DirecTV. The official release date has yet to be announced.
The movie, which features Hailee alongside Jessica Alba and Samuel L. Jackson, follows the life of a 16-year old girl who is actually a trained assassin. She runs away in an attempt to live a normal high school life only to find out that fitting and blending in is not as easy as she expected.
Other actors who are featured in the film include Game of Thrones' Sophie Turner, Thomas Mann, Jaime King, Dove Cameron and Rob Huebel.
John Cheng and Brett Ratner produced the film via their motion picture financing company RatPac Entertainment, as well as Sukee Chew of Hopscotch Pictures and Vanessa Coifman and Ted Hartley of RKO Pictures.
The leading independent motion picture production, Main Street Films is also producing the movie, aside from holding the U.S. rights.
