It may not be a much awaited film of the year but "Serena" is making waves after its short video premiered last month. Starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, the film that was quietly created in between "Silver Linings Playbook" and "American Hustle" where they both collaborated is set in an era of despair and hopelessness where a business empire is threatened to fall down after its owner George Pemberton (Cooper) marries Serena (Lawrence). The creation of "Serena" was inspired by the Hollywood stars' chemistry on the big screen.

According to the LA Times, the film was directed by Danish filmmaker Susanne Bier, based on the 2008 novel by Ron Rash. Cooper and Lawrence's tandem have been highly publicized after the two walked down the red carpet at the screening of "Serena," which was hosted by the Cinema Society and Dior Beauty. At one point, according to USMagazine, Lawrence said, "Bradley Cooper is my work husband, but there's no sex." Cooper may have been a bit off the range after his breakup with Suki Waterhouse, but Lawrence was there to make things lighter for the "American Sniper" actor.
According to Cooper, the tandem they have was a coincidence when they were both announced as cast for 'Silver Lining." After its success, they decided to keep up the partnership and went on to film "American Hustle" which was equally successful.
The filming of "Serena" started as early as March 2012 in Czech Republic, occupying Barrandov Studios and it was initially released on Oct. 24, 2014 in the United Kingdom. Prior, it had a soft premiere on October 13 at the BFI London Film Festival. Magnolia Films is said to start distributing copies in the United States starting Feb. 26, 2015.
