(Photo : Bandai Namco) The Dark Souls II patch "Crown of the Old Iron King" comes out Tuesday.
"Dark Souls 2: Scholars of the First Sin" was scheduled to be released in Europe on April 6. Fortunately, European gamers will now be able to buy and play Dark Souls 2 on April 2, the same day as North America.

The European release date was moved earlier probably because banks in the United Kingdom will be closed for the holiday on April 6.
If the old release date is followed, the game will only have limited exposure on Sunday and Monday since some of the games would probably be closed, too.
The new release date will not be affected by the bank holiday, which will enable the game to be available before Thursday and Good Friday.
The original Dark Souls 2 made its debut on March 2014 for the Xbox 360 and PS 3 consoles. A month later, it was released for the windows PC.
The updated Dark Souls 2 will include the original content and the DLC campaigns namely, Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, as well as the Crown of the Ivory King.
Scholars of the First Sin will be released on the Windows PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS 3 and PS 4 platforms.
The game will include the addition of several NPCs; additional descriptions of items in the game; adjusted game balance and the online matchmaking mechanics have been improved. Current owners of the old Dark Souls 2 game can get the patch to apply these improvements.
Owners of next gen consoles such as Xbox One and PS 4, as well as PCs that have the Direct X 11 will receive special sound, graphics and game performance upgrades. The number of online players will be increased to a maximum of six players in a single session.
Some screenshots have been released to demonstrate the "updated graphics" of the game.
