Nintendo recently announced the "Xenoblade Chronicles 3D" digital version won't have enough space on the bundled microSDHC card of the new 3DS game system. Xenoblade is a Nintendo 3DS system exclusive.

The American Nintendo site warned the new game takes up all the 4 GB storage space of the microSDHC card pre-installed in the Nintendo 3DS XL system. The site advised players to upgrade to a higher memory card to make rooms for other game downloads.

The European Nintendo site was more specific on this matter.  It declared the digital version of the Xenoblade Chronicles 3DS will take too much storage space in the microSD card that has been bundled with the New Nintendo 3DS and XL systems.

Players are advised to get an 8 GB or even a higher microSD card to successfully play and download the game.

This is the first time a 3DS system microSD card didn't have enough memory for a single game.  Some game systems like the Wii and PS 3 have encountered the same situation, however.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D will be the first 3DS exclusive game for the new 3DS game system.  The game first appeared on the Wii console in 2010 and has been adapted for the 3DS.

It has been reproduced entirely except the Japanese voice track was deleted to save much needed space.

The microSD card is inserted inside the 3DS system. You will need to remove it by removing the back cover. You'll also need a Phillips screwdriver size #0 to unscrew the cover.

Caution must be exercised and be sure to follow the removal instructions to avoid damaging the microSD card and 3DS system.

The new 3DS system exclusive Xenoblade Chronicles 3D is due to be released this April 10.
