It hasn't been long since Zayn Malik quit his hit band One Direction, but it seems the 22-year old singer is already working hard to fulfill the next stage of his career.
Insiders told People magazine that Zayn was seen entering a recording studio on Friday, which caused speculations that he is working with Naughty Boy, the songwriter responsible for launching award-winning Sam Smith's career, on his new solo album, which is scheduled to be released on the latter part of this year.

Zayn shocked fans, as well as the other members of One Direction, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan when he departed the band, but when he expressed his desire to live a normal life, many became sympathetic. However, when he was spotted entering a recording studio, a lot of them were left feeling confused.
A source close to the situation revealed that Zayn told his former band members and his management that he wants to live a normal life, but the next thing they knew, he's seen entering recording studio and giving interviews with tabloids.
Zayn's actions made everyone around him feel misled and now think that he's lying about wanting to live normally.
"Everyone feels played by him. Louis and Zayn are friends, but the rest probably won't talk to him," the source added.
But even if Zayn is indeed working on his solo career, it might just be one of his many reasons why he decided to leave the band that thrust him into the spotlight.
While he made it clear that his decision was his alone, some are speculating that his departure is because of his fiancée Perrie Edwards, while others are saying that Zayn was actually fired because of his alcohol and drug abuse.
Whatever the actual reasons may be, the only thing that fans are eagerly waiting for is what Zayn will do next.
