Mariah Carey was spotted continuing her birthday celebration with her longtime friend Brett Ratner in St. Barts last Saturday.

The 45-year old singer whose birthday was last Friday, was photographed strolling around the tony island with the "X-Men: The Last Stand" director and another female friend. Mariah, who sported a grey wrap around dress and a tiny bikini underneath, linked arms with the Brett while toting a shopping bag.

Mariah called it quits with comedian Nick Cannon in August of last year and Nick filed for divorce on December 12 after six years together. The pair has two lovely kids, twins Monroe and Morrocan, 3. 

Brett, who celebrated his birthday that same weekend, and Mariah are not only collaborators but also extremely close friends. And since being spotted almost always together, rumors about them being romantically involved started surfacing.

On March 24, Tuesday, Brett shared an Instagram photo of him dining with Mariah and Courtney Love, while earlier this month, Mariah posted a bathroom selfie of her with Brett, who directed most of her music videos. She captioned the image, "Hanging out in the girls room with @brettrat."

However, despite the persistent rumors, a representative of Brett told People that the reports about them being more than friends is nothing but "ridiculous."

Mariah is scheduled to launch her Las Vegas residency at Caesars Palace. Her show, which starts on May 6, will feature all of her number one hits.
